The First Sunshine

I knew this party had to be special, it was the first one on a weekday(or weeknight if I may call it) followed by for the first time two holidays!!! and then we had for the first time among us, the foreign exchange students. The official timing was 11:00p.m., so it was quite obvious and natural for the party to start after midnight. It started with a presentation by the french guys(people). The highlight of the presentation was the girl in bikini at the beach, who led to a huge uproar by the otherwise frustrated audience, the girl was later introduced as the sister of the presenter! The presentation ended with a sattire with them showing cows in India and Cows in France and the punchline, "We also like cows, but we have fenced grounds for them and footpaths are only for pedestrians". A small intro from the chinese students(participants) ended the introduction part and the party commenced. As per the norms of the party, booze stall was crowded in no time, while the more civilized people restricted themselves to soft drinks (and ofcourse the most civilized one kept themselves to their rooms) :D, people came to the dance floor and the party was in its full flow.
It was heartening to see the differences in civilizations and culure melt in the "melting pot" as the french fraternity and the chinese gang mingled with us and as hooda desperately searched for a pen to note down a chinese girl's phone number and as The Little One made constant efforts to match the steps of the french guys.
By that time I had already declined another offer for a drink by Adam, but was caught after some time by Mr.T holding The Little One's drink which I would have drank had my nose betrayed me, the contents of the drink confirmed later by Mr. T and Ms. Singh herself. Then had to deal with deepak and pratty who gave me an impression they were drunk though the claim was later turned down by the duo. By that time the party was very much settled and I decided to go for a drive and took harry with me, for the first time I broke the 60k barrier within the campus as we covered all the major roads in the campus. After coming back, had my coke checked by Ms. Abrahim for any booze content, such expectations from a decent and gullible tee-totaller like me!!! By 4, I left the party, watched Eyes Wide Shut in my room and went back to see the party winding by the first rays of sun...
